This is a stunning heavily spalted piece of Hickory. There a fine line on long you can let a piece age before becoming to soft to work but this piece is one of a kind. It has a partial natural edge on the rim and has a beautiful crack on the bottom that is unique. Most of the time I will fill the cracks with sanding dust that you would never see or on larger cracks I will use resin with color to make an accent but this one was to neat to mess with. It will make a great conversation piece or a neat addition to your collection. The color on this bowl is amazing.
